Oy Vey!

Polish cuisine meets Jewish dietary laws, and Ashkenazi food is born. Oy vey!

Jewish dietary law forbids the serving of meat with milk, though it is fine to serve milk and milk products with fish. This is a typical Jewish fish supper.

SOUP
Borscht with freshly baked rye sourdough bread

MAIN COURSE
Fried gefilte fish
Potato salad
Cream cheese and celery
Red cabbage slaw
Traditional pickles and sauces

DESSERT
Summer fruit syllabub

This is what we plan to serve you, but slight changes may occur due to availability or if we come across something even more delicious.

We won’t be able to cater for any special dietary requirements. Please contact me if you have any concerns or questions about the ingredients we will be using.

Hi Asha. I see that rsvp is closed and so I have missed my opportunity to join you for this. Is there any possibility of re opening? :)

Hi Ruth - yes, as I am not shopping until later today! However, you do need to book by 2.00 PM, and you can do that at http://popupsupperclu...

Sounds fabulous, but not very veggie friendly.

It's billed as a "typical Jewish fish supper", Pamela, so that does mean that the main dish is fish! Many of our other meals are veggie friendly, though, so I will hope to see you at one of them sometime.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
