Theists should join atheists in "interbelief" or "transbelief" reasoning dialogue groups because religion isn't only about God, but also about morality. Those who've had to create a moral code without God's input must also have a seat at the roundtable. Also, as a plurationalist, I encourage all of us -- of every theist, atheist, ethical, cultural, and political worldview -- to practice factualism instead of denialism, skepticism instead of dogmatism, and moderationism instead of emotionalism, in how we source, test, and communicate our diverse worldviews.
I'm SBS Organizer & liaison to The Circle of Reason, the international plurationalist society sponsoring SBS, First Minneapolis Circle of Reason (FMCOR), & Circle of Ijtihad (COI) meetups for reasoning dialogue across disparate worldviews & cultures.
Religious and secular people -- reasoning together! Interesting!
