Thanks to everyone who participated! I think the top of the butte should be a wind farm . . . Thanks especially to Heather and Finn who completed the entire trail!

As I live in Monument, I'll be heading directly to the trail head.

Late risers, like me, get a double break on this hike. It starts half an hour later than usual, and the return to standard time (MST) gives us all an extra hour of shuteye.

Hi everyone! Just a reminder that per the original invitation, the hike will start at 9:30. The 9:00 time is for carpooling at woodmen valley. If anyone arrives later than 9:30, it's easy to catch up with us. Just head for the butte. Maps are available on site or online.

If anyone wants to carpool from Woodmen Valley, please post here. Doris would like to carpool.

I live near the trail, so I will meet everyone in the parking lot near the large sign at the trailhead. Easy to find. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash or you risk a hefty fine.

You can break free at any time. There are basically two loops that meet at the trail that goes back to the entrance. I think I hiked the entire trail in about 3 or 4 hours with two shirt breaks. The first part, the butte, is especially nice.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
