Explore Garden of the Gods Park

Hi Secular Hikers,

Weather permitting; there will be a hike in Garden of the Gods Park on Sunday, February 2nd. We will be exploring the part of the park that most of the people who visit the park do not see (like Siamese Rocks).  For those people who want to watch the Super Bowl, we can either all stop the hike in time or they can head back to the parking lot early.

To get to the trailhead parking lot, head west on Gateway Road off of 30th Street, after 0.4 miles, take a right onto Juniper Way Loop.  Turn left into the parking lot after 0.3 miles.  Park close to the entrance on the north side of the parking lot.

Please bring enough water and snacks for the hike.  We will most likely stop for a light lunch.  We will be back at the park-n-ride somewhere around early to mid afternoon.

Please let me know if you plan on attending the hike. If you change your mind, please let her know that also.

We will be starting the hike at 10:00 AM.

Rich, Carol, and Will posted some really good photos. They make me wish I'd participated in this hike.

Everyone seemed to really enjoy this relatively easy hike. The weather was great, as well as the scenery and people.

I believe the Super Bowl isn't until late afternoon (after 4pm) so should not be any conflict.
