Hike on Sunday, Nov. 4th

Hi Hiking Freethinkers,       Weather permitting, there will be a hike on Sunday, Nov. 4th. There will be 2 hikes from which to choose.       Hike 1) Spruce Mountain. This is a relatively easy 5 1/2 mile round trip hike with an elevation gain of a few hundred feet. A portion the the hike to the top of Spruce is of moderate steepness, but almost everyone should be able to do this hike. I consider this to be a relatively easy hike. We would be carpooling from my house. People who live north of Baptist Road (Monument) may want to go directly to the trailhead.   Hike 2) Waldo Canyon Trail. This is a far more difficult hike than any of the Red Rocks trails. It is almost 7 miles round trip and about 1000 feet elevation gain. If this hike is chosen, we will be carpooling to the trailhead from a park-n-ride just off of Highway 24 and 21st Street.       Rich [masked])     p.s. If you vote for a hike and that is the one selected, you are expected to attend. If you do not, your vote will count less in the future.
