Hi all, the notes from todays meeting are up for members to see. As noted, I'll be preparing a few documents in the coming days to send around to various groups. Welcome to the party, Frank. - Michael

I must apologise, I've had to cancel at the last minute, something rather important has come up. I hope you all enjoy the meetup, and hopefully I can make the next one.

Apologies to all that I neglected to re-book the Community Meeting Room for 2014 so tomorrow we will meet in Room 1.9 instead. It is located on Level 1 at the Adelaide St end of the building. Could everyone please arrive early so we can get the meeting under way at 2:00 pm. We only have the room for 1 hour so will adjourn to the coffee shop a little earlier than usual! I look forward to seeing you all there.

I've placed an agenda in the files section of this page. There will of course be time to deviate from the agenda, and lively discussion after the agenda items are complete.

Hi John. New faces are always welcome at our meetings. They're normally fairly social and casual (especially when the elections aren't too close).

If you want to follow some of our previous candidates on facebook or twitter you can do that. You'll find me there, and I am more than happy to answer any questions you might have (or alternatively, I might palm you off to www.secular.org.au if I can't ad-lib the answer).

Hi there. I hope it’s ok if I come along to the Sunday meeting to hear a little bit about the party. I can only stay for half an hour, but I would like to get involved.

Also on the agenda will be the pilot for the youtube video series to stimulate interest, as spoken about today.

Hi all, for this meeting, I'll be preparing an agenda to be put up on this site and sent 'round on the Friday before the meeting. If there are any particular things you would like brought up please post your questions here and I'll add them to the agenda. All issues regarding the Queensland push for membership increase and registration will be potentially on the table - we need to formulate strategy ahead of the state election, which although a long way off, we should be preparing for and using the current backlash against the LNP. Strategy will be important. Also, we need to discuss strategy ahead of the Griffith By Election if we will be contesting at all. That decision (if to contest) will probably be made by the 5th, but we need to know what king of support we can rely on from the members (you guys), and if you have any suggestions.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
