Yes. I can give it to you then, at the restaurant after the tour.

Fun group of ladies, and great food!

So the official line is that we talked about physics and underwear :-). Thank you everyone. I had a great time! And I appreciate the fact that people who couldn't make it changed their RSVPs. That is always helpful for planning. It seems like I've thanked Linda for hosting a hundred times, but I will do it again anyway. Thanks Linda!

This is my first meetup with this group and it sounds fun. :-) I love game nights. I'm planning on bringing a fruit salad. I also have Apples To Apples (to continue with the fruit theme, ha) and some other games I could bring.

    1 · May 24, 2013

Fruit salad will go well with the rest of the menu, and bring your games as well. We haven't had a game night for Secular Suzies before, but Linda has had them for other social groups. So, I'm new to the game night thing as well. It should be fun.

I'll probably be a little late as I have another event before this one.

    • Rachel H.

That's fine. Your dish sounds good!

I don't know what to make yet. My first thought was spinach lasagna. Any thoughts? (Only vegan dishes, or able to be vegan, please!)

    May 20, 2013

    • Rachel H.

what about a rice dish that could also go with Linda's salmon?

I think soup and games do not go together. And for some reason I can't make good rice anymore. I'll keep thinking about it. Thanks for the suggestions, though!

I'll bring a Greek vegetable dish--with string beans, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, olive oil.

    May 22, 2013

  • Elze H

I will try to make a certain dish of My People. :-) If I can make it with locally available ingredients, that is. It will be cheesy and semi-desserty. If it doesn't come out right, I might bring enchiladas.

Also I may be late, because my daughter has a birthday party to go to right before this potluck. But I don't want to be so late that the games will have already started -- unless there will be a sizeable non-gamer population to socialize with. Hmm...

We can most likely add you to one of the games!

Here is what we have so far: Salmon, spaghetti pie, prawns with cocktail sauce, Annie's Mac n Cheese, brownie bites, GF cookies, broccoli slaw, and one other dessert and main dish. I will bring sodas as well.

Dang it! I have to be out of town this weekend! Spaghetti pie will have to wait until next time! So sorry ladies!

    May 21, 2013

  • Maria

I not able to make it because it's my daughter's birthday but I am excited to meet you all at the next event.

    May 16, 2013

    • Rachel H.

Next time then. The next event will be a tour of the Blanton Museum followed by dinner. Hopefully, I can post that tomorrow.

      The tour sounds exciting!

      May 17, 2013

I will bring broccoli slaw and probably a gluten free dessert

I might stop by for potluck, though not for games.

    1 · April 29, 2013

FYI, there will be at least one gluten free and one vegan dish for those who eat that way.

I think I may be out of town Memorial weekend. :( Looking forward to being secularly suzified.

    April 24, 2013

I didn't realize it was Memorial weekend. See you sooner rather than later, I hope :)

I have my daughter's first bday party that day. I will be at other events though!

Unfortunately, no one but me can see who is bringing what pot luck item because of where meetup puts the answers. You can add what your bringing as a comment on this page if you want. So far we have prawns and cocktail sauce, spaghetti pie, and salmon. Linda's salmon is really good.

I can bring a mah jongg set if anyone is interested.

    April 24, 2013

    • Rachel H.

Sure, bring it. We can decide as a group what to play.

      April 24, 2013

  • Rachel H.

I've never played any of these games, but Linda is an expert. However, if you want to play Spades, I can kick some booty!
