Secular Hub Movie Night

Secular Hub members are invited to hang out and watch a movie on our BIG screen at the Secular Hub on Thursday nights! Drinks, snacks, and popcorn will be available for sale. Doors will be open at 6:00pm and the movie will begin at 7:00pm.

This week the movie will be Contagion.

Movies will sometimes have a secular theme, sometimes they'll just be things we all vote on and want to see. We will update individual events with the movie when available.

This is a recurring weekly event, subject to other secular events that require the Secular Hub space. We'll make sure to update the meetup each week with the movie selection and notify when they are cancelled.

Note: Secular Hub meetings such as movie night are open only to dues paying members of the Secular Hub. Sign up on line at http://www.secularhub.org/membership/ or in person at the Hub.

Hey all, we'll be a bit late (around 6:30); but if you guys need to get everything set up before we arrive, our copy of Contagin is on the bookshelf at the Hub. Also, if for some reason we can't get a working Blu-Ray player, we also left a copy of Traffic, another Steven Soderbergh classic, on DVD there as a backup. See everyone soon!

Oops. I didn't realize you were going to show Inherit the Wind when I scheduled it for the Boulder Atheists class next Tuesday. Sorry that you had to change your movie. Probably would have been OK though. So, come up to Boulder on Tuesday evening for the Atheist Classroom, where this month it is about the Scopes Monkey Trial. We will show two films. The first one is a 20 minute segment from the PBS documentary series, God in America, where it deals with the 1925 Scopes Trial, where John Scopes was convicted for teaching evolution in a public school, followed by Inherit the Wind, a 1960 dramatization of the Trial, staring Spencer Tracy. Go to meetup.com/boulder-atheists for more details.
