Last month, flood waters forged a path through Colorado, tearing apart homes and devastating communities. More than 1500 homes were destroyed and many more were damaged with estimated losses exceeding $1 billion. The waters have subsided, but the need has not.
Boulder Flood Relief is an organization that grew out of that devastation to provide aid to a community in need. Let's join them this Saturday to help with the remaining cleanup. Projects may include shoveling mud and dirt, moving furniture, organizing and sorting donations, or other manual tasks. Though we will meet in Boulder, we may be dispatched to a surrounding community, depending on the need.
The flood is just a memory for some, but it continues to take a toll on the lives of our friends and neighbors who were most deeply affected.
They still need our support. Let's show them we care!
