Not sure how I avoided doing this before, but Hi, all you heathen types.
I have avoided joining/paying for membership in many Atheist Groups, but follow many, and enjoy them all. Fixed retired income and a new Atheist Art business called Planalism LLC, keeps my finances well in check one might say. For me the Hub is of most import currently, but love the Book Club that meets there monthly, the Philosophy Group that meets at the Mercury Cafe the latter part of the month. I also attend the SCI meetups at Brooklyn's sites as time allows, and am a proud owner of Eric Meers newly released book "Aenamus". I play with a Quakers Nontheist Group almost Daily via the Internet, and I do the People's Fair, hopefully sharing time at the FFRF and Secular Hub booths this year. I do attend the FFRF meetings too, and will join, as finances allow, but another very important organization. I like the NAP option, and find AA and AAA most interestingly historically correct organizations. There are a few other Atheist's groups, one of which is an Atheist Church. Peace 2013
Be there, doing that. Such a vital communications center from so many perspectives.
It was interesting how 2 different web sites, recorded differing numbers of attendees, or we Atheists need to learn to count. There is a difference between 17 and 40+ people coming to a picnic. Mostly being silly here, but plenty of food for all. And those attending were a pure delight.
