They will have a Q & A tent for those of us who like to discuss philoosophy, history or topics like Christ in India etc...
CHARIOT FESTIVAL OF INDIA Everybody is invited to join us at this 3,000+ year old "festival of Jagunath" (origin of the English word "Juggernaut" meaning "unstoppable" ;-) which starts with hundreds of people pulling the 35 foot tall "chariot of the gods" through the streets of downtown Calgary finishing at the festival site where everybody is rewarded with FREE entertainment provided by an international troop of performers, a FREE vegetarian Indian lunch/food, FREE henna tatoos, etc... very cheap Indian clothing ($5/t-shirts etc...)
About 5,000 people are expected to attend this event which is Calgary's most eco-friendly (the gods are chariot-pooling ;-) and Calgary's most animal-friendly festival (humans pull the chariot, not animals ;-) If only all Calgarians could learn how to car-pool to work, not enslave/exploit animals and eat vegetarian Indian food, this would be a much better world!
12 pm Chariot parade starts at Olympic Plaza and heads west on 8th Av. 2pm Parade reaches the Milleniam Park festival site (Between 6th Av and 9th Av. SW, West of Planetarium and Mewata Armoury).
