Welcome to the new faces.
Some of you have heard me talk about idea for giving back to the community.
I am just putting this out there and we'll see what happens.
The Stollery is near and dear to my heart as I happen to frequent it regularly with my own kids.
I've started a project for the Stollery. It's not mine alone, but I am passionate about it.
We're doing a Stollery house. Boughten a house in Capilano area of Edmonton. We will be renovating it from top to bottom and then selling it with ALL the proceeds going to the Stollery Children's Hospital here.
The Stollery is on board with us. And this is not the first time we've done such a project. The first one was about three years ago. It seemed high time to do one again.
Last time we donated just over $[masked] to the Stollery. I don't expect to make nearly that much, but our intent is for $40,000.
In order to make that happen I am looking to the community to get whatever materials and labor we can donated to the project.
Here is my request to our group.
If you know of anyone with talents, any business contacts in the housing industry, or anyone with a few hours of time to use, would you please let me know.
I would love to see us even come together as a group for an afternoon and help with demolition.
If there are any other thoughts or ideas floating around out there, please feel free to share them.
Whether or not anyone else here participates this project is moving ahead. And now my summer is booked
I will be involving my children in this process as a way for them to give back. Especially considering the number of visits we make there!
