I find it fascinating that most people plan their vacations with better care than they do in their lives. Perhaps that is because escape is easier than a change.

If we look at the state of the world today we know a couple of things. We know that
credit card debt is absolutely out of control; consumer debt is at an all time high.
Personal savings is at an all time low. Companies are now lying off hundreds and thousands of people. And of course this is the environment right now. Corporate is downsizing, rightsizing. We have so many people living on a 100% of what they earn. Personal bankruptcies at an all time high and pensions shrinking.
There are millions of people that are actually working harder today then they
were 10 years ago and they are doing it to have a lower standard of life.
we are getting busier more frantic more stressed more hassle more grief and working harder and harder.
we are paying a price in our marriage paying a price with our kids and paying a price in our other relationships.

In order to be able to retire early than you thought in most cases you need to have an asset which can give you a residual income.
You know, most of us dream about the possibility of not having to go to work because we have to.
