Monthly Meeting

  • May 4, 2013 · 2:00 PM
  • Private residence in Sedona

This gettogether should be really fun. One of our members is hosting an indoor/outdoor BBQ at their really neat home near Poco Diablo and feature a discussion facilitated by NAU Professor Andrea Houchard, Director of Philosophy In The Public Interest. We will delve into the intersections of contemporary philosophy and Humanism, plus hear about how students today are trending along religious versus secular lines of thought. It will be more of an informal group discussion than a lecture.

This will be a pot luck starting at 2 PM with the usual BYOB. No requirement to bring anything since we always have excess. Directions to the home will be provided via email to members a week in advance.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP as a courtesy to the host.

Very nice. Some new people were there. Helped me see why philosophy is important.

Karen, please send an email directly to me at [masked] so that I can send you the directions. One of our members attempted to send directions to you but apparently it didn't get through.

Became a devout humanist atheist by a long and painful route. Details are given on my blog and my Facebook site by tracking them on Google under my name, Allen C. Dexter.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
