Green Road Library

Green Road Library will be a recurring evening event the SECOND MONDAY of each month.  After renovations for several months, they have re-opened as of November 3rd and will be looking forward to dog teams returning to read with the children..Times from the past have changed in hopes of more reader attendance!

Please meet and greet outside as usual and go in as a group.  Remember to represent yourself with your current Therapy Organization.  See Spot Read is your calendar of events :)

Leslie Ormond is excited to have dog teams return and Green Road Library has always loved reading with the dogs!!!

Check your calendars and give them a visit!!             Beth

I have a cold which has suddenly gotten bad. I hate to miss this but don't want to take a chance on any of the kids getting sick. Very sorry.

That's great, Cheryl. I felt bad about bailing on you at the last minute. Were many children at the library last night? How did it go? I don't have any bookmarks or stickers to give out yet. Did you have any? Look forward to meeting you!

Not a problem. Brenda joined me and she left a little early so all together I think we had about 15 kids because I did not leave until 6:30. We made our own bookmarks with Leon's picture on it and it just says "Leon thanks you for reading with him". We did it on photo paper and attached colorful strings to them. I couldn't figure out how to order the other ones through SSR nor did I see a template. I have started on some stickers but I have not finished them yet...I will have to work on that this weekend! I hope you feel better before Sunday!

Brenda Yarbrough and Andrea Loper I look forward to meeting you both next Monday @ the Green Road Library. This will be Leon and my first See Spot Read visit and I plan on arriving at least 15 minutes early. Could you ladies meet me out front so we can meet each other and walk in together? Again, I look forward to meeting you both...we are so excited!

That's a great idea Cheryl. I will meet you outside at 4:45. What kind of dog is Leon? Are you getting a bandana or something for him to wear? I don't have anything for Harbor yet.

Sounds great! Leon is a Standard Poodle...I really should update my picture! He went through therapy dog training @ Teamworks under Canines for Therapy so he has a vest that says Canines for Therapy and I have a badge. Looking forward to it!
