NORTHWOODS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL-CARY

NORTHWOODS ELEMENTARY IN CARY WANTS US BACK!!

This will be a recurring read event each Friday from 1:45-2:45 PM.  Johnna Lake, the new Literacy counselor who replaced Mary Wendland, is happy to have SSR back at Northwoods. She is most eager to work with us.

The school is located in Cary at 8850 Chapel Hill Road between Harrison and NW Maynard. Lovely school and everyone is excited about having the dogs come to read!! Please try to arrive 15 minutes early so all can get acquainted :) and go into the office together and you will be directed from there. Hopefully reading can begin at 1:45. Remember to be signed in with WCPSS and have proof of Therapy Certification with you.

The school office phone number is[masked] in case you have a last minute emergency arise and questions regarding this Meetup, please contact me [masked], 848-8776.

LOOKING FORWARD TO HAVING YOU RSVP!!   Thanks so much....Beth

The last day to visit Northwoods Elementary this year will be Friday, May 23, 2014. If you have not had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful school, there is still time this month. Johnna Lake does an excellent job of organizing this program, all the staff is really supportive of SSR, the library is really cozy and the kids are fun! Northwood hopes to start up again on Friday, Sept. 26! Thanks to all the volunteers as well!

Wonderful first-grade readers! The kids really wanted to talk about what they were reading too, which was fun. The kids at Northwoods enjoyed spending time with the dogs too. Johanna Lake does a great job of managing the time we have with each child to allow many children to have an opportunity to read with our canine companions.
