Annual Winter Holiday Party/ White Elephant

  • Dec 17, 2013 · 7:00 PM

Please read descriptions of events before attending.
Important information may be in the description.

What are we doing?

I know it's close to the holidays, but sometimes getting away from all of the hustle and bustle for an hour or two is good for the spirit.

This is our Annual Winter Holiday Gathering.
Pot-Luck: Please bring a dish to share and write in the comment section below to let everyone know what you are bringing.
BYOB

Optional Pollyanna/ White Elephant Gift Exchange

The last 3 years we've done a small Pollyanna/ White Elephant within the group.
It is optional. You do not have to participate if you do not want to.

If you would like to participate then all you do is bring in a wrapped gift. Everyone who brings a gift then puts them in a pile on a table. They submit their names and place them in a hat. Names will be drawn at random to determine what order people go in to select presents.

It does not have to be expensive. It could even be something handmade.
Something unisex, since the gift drawing is random.
Try wrapping it in something that hides what it is.
- Example - one year my mom gave me something small (a dvd or cd, I think) wrapped in a baby diaper box.

Try to keep it under $10.

What to Bring
A wrapped gift for the Pollyanna/ White Elephant.

Pot-luck - Please bring something to share

Please write what you are bringing in the comment section so we can keep track of who is bringing what. If you have any food allergies or restrictions, please list them in the comments as well.

BYOB - bring your own beverages

Still not sure if I'm bringing bacon wrapped chicken livers or garlic and olive oil pasta-roni. I might bring both just cause I can't choose. I can't promise that all the bacon will end up arriving though. hehehe.

I'll have to see if I can come. I'm hoping that this is a 24 hr thing and I will wake up tomorrow feeling hungry and happy. If I do I will come along with some yummy food (either pasta or bacon wrapped chicken livers, not sure) Let you know tomorrow.

I'll bring cheese and crackers. Or a redneck-cracker behaving cheesily. Or I'll sneeze while on crack. Something like that.
