Welcome to Seeking the Muse in New Jersey: Creative Writing!
This is the original StM meetup group, the one that started it all.
Keep your eyes open for new StM groups, as we are expanding.

Our goals are simple:
1. To write and create.
2. To meet other creative people and form friendships.
3. To laugh, joke, and have fun.

The group is designed for creative writers from all backgrounds. You will find people who are working on novels, short stories, poetry, songwriting, screenplays, theatrical plays, memoirs, etc.

We meet on Tuesdays, usually around 7:15 pm, and we have some extra events thrown in for fun. Our locations sometimes vary, so check each event to find out where it is. Show up when you can. Share when, and if, you want to. We have a "no pressure policy".

The prompts, themes, topics, and events are posted on the website. During a meeting we have time to write and then time to share what we've written. If you'd like to bring something that you have written before the group you are welcome to do so.

This group has been running strong for years now and it has taken on some special qualities.
Be ye warned! We often discuss Pirates, Ninjas, Zombies, and Sock Puppets!

The start time varies depending on when people show up and how much chit-chat is going on in the beginning.
This group is full of jokers and playful people. This group is designed to be a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
If you are looking for something with more structure, or a more serious tone, there are some wonderful groups out there that you might want to check out as side options. I encourage my members to join as many groups as they'd like so they can get different experiences and opinions from other people.

To avoid crossing age inappropriate lines, we are asking for this group to be for those aged 18 and above.
