Selenium Israel Meetup #3

Hello everyone!

Our next Meetup will take place on April 3rd at the Google TLV campus.

In the first session, Ilan Malyanker from LivePerson will thoroughly review the various element locators supported by Selenium (Id, class, css, xpath and jquery). Element identification is one of the fundamental skills that every Selenium developer must master. In addition to advanced usage examples and optimization tips, the presentation will include best practices for maximizing test stability and ease of maintenance.

The second session will be focused on large scale Selenium automation. Wix has one of the most mature and extensive selenium-based test automation setups in Israel, running thousands of tests a day against a continuously deployed web application serving millions of users worldwide. Itay Shmool, Wix's QA manager, will share the challenges encountered in growing such a large scale test automation operation, how they were overcome, and Wix's strategy to cope with current and future challenges.

Agenda:

18:00 – 18:30 Meet & Greet

18:30 – 19:15 A Deep Dive Into WebDriver Element Locators (Ilan Malyanker)

19:15 – 19:30 Break

19:30 – 20:15 Large Scale Selenium Testing at Wix (Itay Shmool)

    The Meetup was very interesting.
I enjoyed both lectures and lecturers. The content was delivered clearly and professionally.

I would like if we have a meetup about methods of testing with Selenium (framework, language etc.)

    Thanks again.

The 1st one was great for these who are not very familiar with the Selenium :Locators (Less for me). But still was a very good one.
The 2nd one gave me a clue about the important things we should care about when creating large automation env.
I would happy to be in a meeting where the frame-works are discussed deeply: I would like to know how other Selenium users build their framework,

As it was my 1st meeting I foubd the 1st lecture was a good primer for Selenium users and I hope additional participants pick up the task of sharing their expert knowledge with everyone.
The 2nd lecture was intertesting as it is always good to know what is happening around me in other companies.

Thanks to the organizers and lecturers. Waiting for the next meetup.
