Jason Carr: Using Selenium-like tools to Test iOS Native Applications

Selenium is a mature platform for writing web application tests, but it can't be used to test native apps... or can it? This presentation will survey the tools available for native app testing and give a brief demonstration of each tool, its pros and cons, and explain what situations would make it the most useful. Special attention will be paid to tools using the Selenium Webdriver API and a discussion about how further work can be done to make Selenium work for native mobile applications.

Jason is a Mobile Automation Developer at Sauce Labs, where he splits his time working on mobile selenium and native application automation. He is a contributor to the Selenium Project and is working on native automation tools for mobile. In his free time, Jason plays and designs board games with his wife.
