Your Company's Automated Testing Effort Should Be About More Than Just Selenium!

Santiago Suarez Ordoñez is currently Customer Success Engineer and Selenium Ninja at Sauce Labs. For almost three years now, he has been helping Sauce's biggest customers get started with Selenium and accelerate their automation skills. Santi began his career as a manual tester, learning heavily structured and documented environments based in RUP procedures. Due to an obsession with squeezing every single second from repeatable and simple tasks, he became a GTD practitioner, Agile methodologies fan, and a skilled developer with an inclination to automated testing.

I have just done my one month training of QA, but I feel I did not learn very well. I don't know how to start my career of QA. Please give me some advise.

Lily, I'd suggest working with others to boost your software testing acumen(shameless plug ahead...) I facilitate a program here in the states on Saturday's called Weekend Testing (see http://weekendtesting... for what we do and how we create sessions). Right now, the two active chapters are in India (where it started) and in the Americas. There is no charge to participate, and it's a great place to meet fellow testers, and get to know others in the testing community. Our next planned WTA session is going to be held Saturday, February 9, 2013 (time still TBD). I'd be happy to tell you more if you are interested.
