80legs will be our guest speaker at our next meetup. They will be discussing, amongst other things scalability issues with regards to semantic applications. They will also be demonstrating an application built in collaboration with a semantic software company based in Dallas.
content will be similar to the presentation given to Dallas semantic web meetup, however it will have more meat, and other potential applications, such as semantic search and others, will be discussed! They will be here as they are presenting at demo 09 - , but are staying an extra day to meet with our group. As an FYI 80legs have been nominated to speak on the following panels at the next SxSWi held in Texas! - Scaling the Semantic Web - Big Data, Big Dream - Semantic Search: Life Beyond Ten Blue Links - Semantic Search: Off to a Good Start I have included the latter to provide a flavor of any potential areas of interest! As always, there will always be time allocated for a round table and further discussion. From the 5 freeway, go East. First traffic light after el camino real (large shopping center with a ralphs, movie theaters and more on the right hand side) is signature point. The business center is straight ahead, with wireless internet and everything available. If parking is an issue, you can park at the shopping center and just walk across the road. refreshments will be provided

It is always valuable to learn about new business services. We got it in the first hour. I left after 2.5 hours and do not know if the group addressed any Semanic Web business.
