I am developing the Synthetic Biology Open Language (SBOL). To build SBOL, I apply Semantic Web standards for the representation of information needed in the electronic exchange of synthetic biology data.
I use XML, write RDF, I'm fluent in OWL, published an article demonstrating benefits of SPARQL for the synthetic biology domain. I dont know what IA is. If its supposed to be AI, then I read about it in a book, it said the field died in the 90s, but my KR class was closely related.
I'd like to meet fellow Semantic Web geeks (and those Semantically inclined)
I am a PhD Candidate in Biomedical and Health Informatics at the University of Washington. I received my BS in Biology from the University of Maryland in 2002 and a MS in Bioinformatics from Boston University in 2005.
