Thornby Park and Audubon Park in Deltona

This will be a walking tour of two parks. We will meet at Thornby Park , 110 Providence Blvd. Deltona (Enterprise). This is a follow up to our September 15th meeting with Sandy Walters, who was instrumental in preserving this 40 acre property.  This is a pristine, wooded property with 1000 feet shoreline on Lake Monroe.  From there we will caravan to the newly created Audubon Park on Lush Lane off of Doyle Road in Deltona.  This storm water treatment site and ecological education facility has more than 40 verified bird species that nest and feed here.  A walking tour is planned.

Bill Clapham will be the host and guide at Thornby.  Jim Denslow and Joan King will also be available to answer questions.
