It was a wonderful trip led by Duff Swann, Land Management Dept. SJRWMD. Our target species was the Florida scrub-jays, and we were not disappointed. We saw jays from at least four family units. It was a beautiful day weather-wise, and sun on the blue and gray feathers of the jays was breathtaking. Over thirty species were identified. Other highlights were a pair of Bachman's sparrows, bald eagles, northern harrier and lots of northern parulas. The birds were good and company was most enjoyable.
