From the Heart "WALK the Fight" Invitation~Raising Awareness Parkinson Disease

From the Heart Invites you to join them for the "Annual WALK the Fight"  ~ Raising Awareness about Parkinson Disease on Sunday, February 10, 2013. Registration begins at 9:30 am   Location:  Tempe Beach Park  (Parking is available at the US Airways
parking garage on Rio Salado)

By walking you are able to help people living with Parkinson’s disease have an improved
quality of life.   Parkinson’s disease is the second most common progressive degenerative neurological disorder. Symptoms include slowness of movement, loss of balance and coordination, tremor, rigidity or stiffness and uncontrolled movements. As these symptoms become more pronounced, people with Parkinson’s disease may have
difficulty walking, talking, or completing daily tasks.  Parkinson’s disease is not a choice, but quality of life is. The National Parkinson Foundation Arizona Chapter is dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Parkinson’s through supporting the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center (MAPC) in Phoenix Arizona.

Walking or sponsoring a walker will help raise vital funds for the MAPC to deliver support programs, education, recreation and wellness classes to improve the quality of life for those living with Parkinson’s disease.  Click here for more information
