I think we have evolved quite a bit since the group was formed in early 2009.

For a long time it was a kind of "entertain me" group. But lately, we've been doing some more interesting and socially valuable events, such as the current theme of visiting important parts of San Antonio's infrastructure and business community (Lighthouse for the Blind, the Toyota plant, etc.).

I am truly pleased by this development, and it is something that has escaped us for most of these 4 years. Yes, we still have our purely social and food events and they are great: what's not to like about Hamburger Hunt and stuff like that?

I encourage anyone joining this group to stick their neck out a little bit, and suggest an event that they would find interesting. Chances are, with a few hundred members, someone else in the group is bound to like the same things you do.

I thank everyone for their contribution. Without the leadership team we wouldn't have a calendar at all. So let's every one of us belly on up to the bar and get involved in helping suggest, run and grow the group!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
