Morning Walk - Prince Memorial Gateway

This is a lovely park/greenway, walking/bicycle path area along much of Santa Rosa Creek in downtown Santa Rosa, extending west from the corner of Santa Rosa Avenue and Sonoma Avenue beyond Railroad Square all the way out to the Laguna de Santa Rosa west of town. It is now also connected to the Joe Rodota Trail, a pedestrian and bike path which goes right to downtown Sebastopol. The connection is at a bridge behind the Courtyard Marriott hotel in Railroad Square and there are signs. As a result, one can ride or walk on an improved path all the way between downtown Santa Rosa and downtown Sebastopol. People go at their own pace and kind of naturally sort into faster or slower groups.  This is an easy walk to decide if you want to turn around and go back.

**Please note this path gets quite a bit of bicycle traffic. For your safety always stay to the right; Although many bicyclists will call "on your left' or ring a bell, there is often not time to react and move out of the way. **

Please only RSVP if you are attending.  A NO RSVP is if you need to cancel your attendance.  Enjoy!! this is a great walk.

Dogs on a leash are allowed on this trail.

It was fun to see the murals and artwork again. Every segment we walk on the Santa Rosa Creek Trail has its special qualities. Nice big group today plus Cocoa the Dog!

There is a network of trails along several creeks in Santa Rosa. I have a good map, if people are interested in exploring more of them we could do that.
