Nature Walk

Join us at Spring Lake, one of Sonoma County’s most popular places to walk. Two mile walk is on paved path, relatively flat – but we have to climb a couple of dams. If necessary, we’ll go slow – or take the dirt path if it’s not muddy. Discover some of the park’s hidden treasures. Meet at the Swimming Lagoon. Closest entrance at Violetti Rd off Channel Dr. Only cost is for parking, $7 or use your annual pass.
Sponsored by the Sonoma County YMCA and Regional Parks.

It was a lovely leisurely walk on amazingly beautiful morning. It was great to see everyone and meet some new people. Thanks Lynn for taking us off the beaten path a bit and helping us learn more about the park.

Thanks to all who came today. Your good natures were a perfect match to a calm day on the lake. I will learn the names but with over 20 today, I wasn't up to it.

I do this walk a least weekly. If anyone has time for a second lap around, I would love the company. Two times around takes about 1 1/2 hours depending on the pace and pit stops... :)

Very dog friendly park. They even had a "Dog Day" event with all sorts of fun events, including letting the dogs into the swimming area. It was very cool.

Pick you up at 9:15. Leave the RP Park & Ride by 9:30. Spring Lake is about a 20 minute drive with good traffic conditions.

Might I add, that you don't have to be a Y member. Also I'm leading the walk, though we might have a ranger.
