Social Meetup: Garak Wholesale Market

  • December 11, 2010 · 2:30 PM

I've been choosing pretty standard places for meetups. It's a lot easier to organize a place I've been with the turnouts we've been getting. I want to start exploring new places, though. It'll make organizing a little harder, but work with me on this. It's going to start getting cold so we'll brave the cold somedays and others find an indoor market or museum. I haven't been to many museums in Korea so it'll be a good chance to explore them. I'm not sure how well they'll support a big photography group, but there's only one way to find out. I've been in a market mood lately so let's check out a new market. Garak Wholesale Market sounds massive so I'm sure it should have something for everyone. There should be plenty of stuff for us here. My understanding is that it's an open air market so dress warm. Make sure you have my number if you need to get in touch with me. I recently got a new phone and with it a new number. My number is[masked]-2358. Let's meet at Garak Market Station exit 3 (Line 8). Let's meet at the top of the exit at 2:30. We'll wait around for people until 2:45 then we'll get at it. For those getting there after we've started, from exit 3 walk straight to the left for about 200 meters to get to the market (from the KTO website

Of course. This group isn't about gear. A few people come to check out new places without a camera. Others use cell phones, point and shoots, film cameras, to high end DSLRs.

Hey Fraser. That's some big project that they plan to finish by 2018. I don't know if it's started, but I read it's not supposed to disrupt day to day things.

all i can find online about this place is that it's currently being upgraded into some 131-acre beast and is currently under development... will we be alright to go?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
