People often forget that KINDNESS is FREE.

As we all run around during the busy Christmas holidays, let us all remember that while gifts are great, the gift of kindness is even better.

So this holiday season remember to also give the gift of kindness.

Give your time. Give your patience. Give more attention to the relationships that matter to you most.

Be the gift you give this Christmas

As a member of the leadership team, I rely on volunteers like you to make events possible and successful. As a token of gratitude I am offering to be of free service to you. If there is an item you need help with such as repair, maintenance, errand, or extra pair of hands then please send me an e-mail message by tomorrow (Friday) describing your need. I will let you know if it is feasible for me and work out a time. I consider myself a handyman and can perform different types of work. Hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

it's wonderful to plan an act of kindness and to be spontaneous as well! good for you! i helped an elderly gentleman last week as he was walking out of a Panera Bakery. he was pretty unsteady on his feet. cane in one hand and a lemonade in the other. i watched him step up on a curb and he stumbled and his legs flew up and it looked like he was going to land on the ground. i started walking over to him and somehow he manage to remain standing and did not fall! i began talking to him and congratulated him on keeping his balance and not falling......and he still had the lemonade in his hand! i took his lemonade and his keys and helped him to his car. i opened the door, put his drink in the drink holder and put his keys in the ignition. he made it to the door and before he stepped in, he thanked me and told me that something nice was going to happen to me that day. i told him that it already had ~ i got to be nice to him!

Hey, I just noticed (go ahead and say it...I'm slow:) that most of you didn't post an act of kindness. I know you did them, and I'm not asking you to brag, but I want to steal your ideas! Seriously, the people at the pharmacy are trying to pay me for cleaning up litter.

I gave a homeless man my yummy leftovers last night. I pulled my car up to where he was standing on the corner. I think he was disappointed at first b/c I was not handing him money.....then he glanced in the bag and saw the scrumptious 1/2 cheeseburger & fries from McCoy's and a smile brightened his face!

I know this isn't the biggest act of kindness I can do, but it is what I did tonight. I was standing in a very long check out line at Wal-mart and a mother with a cart full of groceries and four little ones was behind me. I overheard her begging her children to behave. I could tell by the exhausted sound of her voice she has had a very long day. It wasn't much but I let her go in front of me in line.
May everyone have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving!

I'll be driving home on Thanksgiving Day so I'm thinking I should give those Kansas Toll booth workers a special treat. It's okay to plan a random act, right? Are any of you pre-planning your random acts?
