Who are we?
We provide the community with meaningful interactions including poetry events, community causes, adventures, and group gatherings. We are dedicated to bridging the gaps between art and technology by finding creative ways to use both to enhance the quality of life for all people in the DC, MD, VA area.
Seven City Art, LLC is the management company for Computer Scientist, Performance Poet, Author, and former Arts Commissioner for the City of Alexandria, Shelly Bell. The "I Am Shelly Bell" Brand is all about creating experiences where you feel inspired to claim the "I AM" inside of the you that you are becoming. We don't promote the idea of being fearless, but the spirit of being fear facing!

EVERY 1ST SATURDAY 7:30pm: "Soul Sessions, The Writing Circle" is hosted by Drew "Droopy the Broke Baller" Anderson. The workshops vibrate from team building to enhancing writing, performance, and editing skills. Soul Sessions is a safe place for writers with various experiences to network and give friendly feedback on each other's work. we eat, drink, write, and share! EVERY 3rd THURSDAY 7:30pm - 8:30pm: "Write Before SpitDat" hosted by Pages, monthly writing and performance workshop that happens before the legendary SpitDat open mic. QUARTERLY 7pm: Slam Alexandria hosted by Shelly Bell, a seasonal poetry slam held in Old Town Alexandria, VA sponsored by the Northern VA Fine Arts Association. ADMISSION: FREE! OPEN MIC from 7pm-8pm musicians, singers, poets, storytellers, and other community members are welcomed to perform or just enjoy.
