Camera Club Competition

Competition! This will be our first competition of the new season. Time to start thinking about what you are going to enter. You may submit up to 3 photos for each category: digital, print, snapshot.

Alan Kidawski will be our judge. Here is his bio: I was born a Bostonian in 1951, grew up in Medford, Mass. My first real photographic encounter with a professional camera was in 1968 may first SLR.  I had 2 interchangeable lens a normal 50 f2.0 and a 135mm f2.8. I began photographing people with great excitement. I was shooting street photography of kids, barbershops, and ever thing that came into focus in my lens. I am hooked.  After having served my Military duty.  I entered the New England School of Photography and spent 2 years studying advertising, commercial and industrial photography. I spent a few years as an assistant for some of the better-known photographers in Boston.
I have always enjoyed photographing different parts of objects. My vision has been seeking out many sorts of items. Over the years, I have followed this new direction and my vision has been seeking out all sorts of everyday items. I see photography as an inter-play of shapes, light, contrast, textures, and composition.

I like how time was managed and that everyone got useful feedback on EVERY photo entered. It wasn't rushed...but it moved along nicely and didn't drag out. Well run!!!

Is Mondays meeting informational, or is this the actual competition date?

Is it too late to submit digital photos?

I would say not, since she hasn't put up the info on how to submit.
