Since we started late last year, we've been expanding our reach to members from the East Bay and Peninsula areas. Our members range from novice to advanced sewists. Some have even taught a class or two in the past and generously share their knowledge at our sewing intensives.
This group is for anyone interested in: dressmaking, clothing construction, tailoring, fashion design, quilting, and a broad range of textile arts. Our members love getting together to sew, share ideas, and making new friends.
Events will include fabric/textile workshops, sewing classes, and all-level sewing intensive workshops. We welcome Meetups hosted by individual members who are interested in hosting a sewing intensive or a workshop focused on their speciality.

Not all the events will be free, but all fees will be at cost. We do not require membership fees, but we do accept cash donations at the FREE events. A donation jar is available at sign-in. These donations are used to pay for organizational maintenance fees. Please be as generous as you can.
Please note that basic etiquette is expected of our members here at Sewing On My Kitchen Table. If a member has RSVPd for an event, then the member should show up. However, we understand that life happens, so please cancel at least three days in advance.
A FREE event requires time from hosts to organize. Members who habitually fail to show up after an RSVP for an event will eventually be placed on the waiting list for all future events. We take roll, and last minute cancellations are considered "no shows."
