Welcome to our Sexuality and Intimacy Meetup!

It is our hope that these gatherings will be intentional, honest, authentic and therefore, truly intimate explorations of Sexuality and Intimacy.

“What is intimacy, and what is its relationship to sexuality?” This is the foundational question behind the Intimacy and Sexuality Meetup Group. This Meetup will explore the terms intimacy and sexuality in an attempt to wrestle with this fundamental question and get us thinking about the connections we make, real as well as ideal, between the two. Only by exploring this connection can we begin to deepen and enrich it.

I simply share these few thoughts with you as this Meetup begins anew:
-Sexuality and intimacy are key drivers for much of what we do and how we express ourselves in life and in relationships.
-To be honest about ourselves as sexual beings brings us freedom.
-To be authentic about who we are in our communication with others may be challenging but ultimately brings integrity and happiness.
-Our sexuality is tied to the most deeply emotional aspects of ourselves and creates bonds that exist between individuals and may be expressed through profound feelings.
-Developing a close connection with another and sharing ourselves in a deeper way helps us learn about ourselves, life and deep transcendent truths.
-Intimacy helps us to know ourselves and others in a new and enriching way.
-Genuine intimacy embraces a combination of dialogue, transparency, vulnerability and reciprocity.
-In this Meetup we will nurture, cultivate and foster these and other aspects of intimacy within a safe environment.
