Whether you're dying for an excuse to get back into Shakespeare or are exploring his plays for the first time, there is no better way to get your fix than by reading them aloud with a friendly group of like-minded people.

Each meeting we divvy up the parts and read through one of Shakespeare's plays. No acting experience or vocal prowess is necessary, you may read in prose or in verse, and are welcome to be as theatrical as you like: accents, dialects, props and costumes are all welcome. The object is to give us all access to these fantastic plays through our own participation. Add to this the timeless ocean, sitting with a group of fellow humans in the sand at the edge of the world, and you're in for a lovely experience.

I've chosen the beach at Lauderdale by the Sea as our primary location, and we meet every other Wednesday, rain or shine.  In inclement weather we meet at our backup location, currently Panera Bread on Federal Highway.

Can't wait to see you at our next reading!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
