This is being lead by my amazing shaman friend Daniel Foor (ancestralmedicine.org). Doing ceremony with him is an amazing experience and deeply healing :-)
We are the expression of many generations of both suffering and bright blessings. Relating consciously with our personal ancestors encourages healing and empowerment for our lineages, families, and lives in the present moment.
These foundational trainings guide participants in greeting their recent and older ancestors, and learning to relate safely and beneficially with family ancestors of all relations. Engagement with the beloved dead, including one’s recent blood relations, is an essential aspect of most indigenous and earth-honoring cultures; however, many feel disconnected from their ancestors due to family pain or simply lack a framework for relating with the beloved dead. Participants in this training contact ancestral guides along their bloodlines and learn to work in partnership with these loving ancestors for personal empowerment and family healing. The ritual work often calls for safely assisting the troubled dead/family ghosts to be welcomed by the loving ancestors. Our time together includes direct visioning/journeywork with the ancestors, forgiveness practices, song, prayer, and heart-centered group dialogue. Those with little knowledge of their people or a tough experience of their families are welcome.
There are no formal prerequisites to attend; however, prior experience with inner work/psychological healing and ceremony/ritual are both helpful. Inquiry into family history before the weekend is also useful but not essential. Cost is $175. Preregistration and attendance for the full weekend is requested. Spaces are limited to 16.
