Whether you are new to meditation or are an old hand, and irregardless of your religious affiliation, you are welcome to join us! We are part of Shambhala International, a world-wide non-profit community of over 220 meditation groups and centers.
We offer regular group meditation sittings the first and third Mondays of the month at 7:15pm.
Our evening format is the following:
- 20 minutes of sitting meditation (on a cushion or chair) - 5 minutes of walking meditation - 20 minute sitting meditation (on a cushion or chair)
Then we have tea and a break for 15 minutes and if mediators wish they ares welcome to stay for discussion on various topics. Check the most recent meet up for the latest topic.
Through meditation we develop the possibility of meeting our everyday activities with awareness, peace, wisdom, compassion and a sense of humour. We welcome people of all ages, faiths and walks of life who are looking for something – perhaps meditation instruction and a place to meditate regularly or are looking for like-minded friends.
