New in March 2014!
The Shenandoah Valley Chess Club in Winchester, Virginia has partnered with the beautiful Handley Regional Library to create a community chess program!
Join us Monday, March 24th for chess at Handley Library, 100 West Piccadilly Street, Winchester, Virginia from 4:30 to 7:30PM.
All ages and skill levels are welcome. These events are FREE and Open to the public. No registration required at this time.
Chess session begins with chess demonstration for beginners followed by casual game period. Bring your board and chess equipment (i.e., notepads, clocks, etc.), or just yourself and a friend. Every meeting is friendly, relaxed, and casual. Great chance to meet new people in your neighborhood around the perfect game.
The Shenandoah Valley Chess Club promotes the study and knowledge of the game of chess, for its own sake as an art and enjoyment, but also as a means for the improvement of the Shenandoah Valley region.
We are excited to partner with the Handley Library to promote the educational and civic benefits of this classic game to all people in our community. We are a future affiliate of the United States Chess Federation.
