An extension of the annual National Novel Writers Month this writing group is to help the Nanowrimo's and anyone interested in figuring out "what's next" after you've finished that first manuscript.
Writing Sessions: Same as November...set aside a bit of time for yourself each week to write with like minded individuals.
Critique Groups: By popular demand I'm organizing critique groups. More details below and much more to follow.
Writing Buddies: Critique groups not your thing? Come find a writing buddy. Great place to meet and work with your writing buddy on a current project. Speaker Events: Topics related to the art and business of writing.
First writing group is Saturday, Jan 18th. I hope to see you there!
[Sherman Oaks] Saturday mornings at Panera (STARTING Jan 18th) 14708 Ventura Blvd Unit A, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403 Phone: (818) 905-6060 Ample parking in back, free wi-fi & power available
Hosted by Chris Bailey, Sandra Larkin and looking for one more person.
Speaker Program: Part II of the group is specifically focused on “What’s next?”. How do I get published? We will arrange a speaker once a month who can speak to each of options and activities that go into publishing (e.g. Development editing, copy editing, cover art, hard copy formatting, eBook formatting, ebook platforms, how to get an agent, how to query a publisher, how to market your book, using social media, building a website, etc).
The events will be hosted at Panera and all are welcome to attend. Suggestions for speakers welcome
