Join me, CLUTCH with fellow riders, friends and family on Sunday, July 28, 2013 for our 3rd Annual FUN-Family Appreciation Day Getaway. Last year, we visited the water park at Codorus State Park and had a blast, and the year prior we visited Chesapeake Beach Water Park. If you ride like I ride, then you need to take a day to show appreciation for family and friends who we too often leave behind, and who worry about us the most. Kids especially love seeing the bikes.
This year we are riding to Northern Virginia's - Volcano Island Water park in Sterling, VA (visit http://www.volcanoislandwaterpark.com). Cost: $8 - $10/each.
From Baltimore we ride down I-29 South to Silver Spring, then down Rock Creek Pkwy to Virginia. Two Meetup locations in Baltimore (Security Square Mall / Macy's Parking Lot) @ 10 a.m. and Silver Spring, MD (EXXON Gas Station - Past Silver Spring Subway Station on Colesville Road) @ 11 a.m.
Ride time: 1.5 hrs/each way
Ride Challenge: Easy/MediumSo, Bring your towels and swimwear - food/eatery on site, and relax or play the day away. To guarantee a day of no hassle, no grilling/cooking out required. We may stop afterwards at Dave and Buster to get something to eat.
Without you, we'll still have fun, but with you would be even better.
