Thanks for the nice walk, Cy, I saw a lot of parts of the Bronx I have not seen before.

There's always something essentially redeeming and restorative about tromping around in the hidden byways and waterways with a group of happy folk, all intent on enjoying the group movement, getting a bit lost and discovering whatever comes. Many thanks to Cy for an intriguing exploratory day along the riverside in the Bronx and to all the good companions in the trek.

I'm coming by car. I'm concerned about getting back to the starting point when we're done.

Hi Craig, I went on this hike once and we ended at Amsterdam Avenue and 178th Street, though it might end somewhere else in that neighborhood tomorrow. Probably you should park almost anywhere near the 1 line, whether at the meeting place at 207th Street or any other station, then wherever the hike ends you can either walk to your car or walk to the 1 train and take that to your car. One station that might have good, safe parking nearby would be the 168th Street/Broadway station by Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. But, maybe there will be parking available at 207. Enjoy the hike.
