I'm beginning to think this is a dream walk--have tried to do it twice, but the weather demons cancelled both.

However, we had a great short walk over 3 or 4 bridges regardless. Thanks to Walk for excellent leadership, and to Miki and Daniel for Ace Locksmith. Great time. Thanks to all.

I've joined this walk twice now. Each time, I met great people and really enjoyed it. Long, tough walk but well worth it. And many people go with intentions/capabilities to drop out when necessary...this is a supportive no pressure walk. Looking forward to a reschedule.

Is 12 hours for real? Or was that a typo? :P

If you walk the entire route between all the bridges it can be 12 hours and about 35 miles; to shorten it, some walkers take buses and subways on some of the longer distances between bridges, like from the George Washington Bridge to the Henry Hudson Bridge.

This sounds wonderful. Can you confirm I don't have to stay for the entire 12 hours?

As with most of the city walks, there are plenty of places to drop off and catch public transit. Lots of people use that option.
