Grove Street to Weehawken

The new meeting place for this walk will be outside the Grove Street PATH station by Subways sandwich shop(corner of Chris Columbus drive and Grove Street), since there is no PATH service on the Newark to WTC on weekends. This will make the walk slightly longer. PATH service is still available on the 33rd street line on weekends. 

Catch the PATH at 33rd Street, 23rd Street, 14th Street, 9th Street or Christopher Street; the WTC station and Exchenge Place station are now both closed on the weekends. PATH info.

Walk along Hudson River waterfront in New Jersey (5-7) miles at a moderate pace from Grove Street PATH Station to Port Imperial Terminal, Weehawken, NJ, Visit site of Burr-Hamilton duel off Boulevard East. See beautiful views of the NY skyline along the Hudson River. Bring lunch and water

Meet 11:00 AM by the Subway Sandwhich shop outside of Grove Street PATH station. Rain or snow cancels. Snow on ground okay. Bring Lunch & water. PATH FARE $2.00 Seniors $1.00 (must apply for senior PATH fare.) 5 miles. At end of the walk, ferry to NYC from Port Imperial or Light Rail back to the Hoboken or Grove Street PATH stations.

    Thanks for the walk, Ed, lots of great sights on a sunny day, I especially liked the Stevens Institute and the stairway to the ferry. Have a great trip next week.

    the Hamilton/burr site is on blvd east. way up the palisades. I need to know Ed, do you plan to lead the group up there, the stairs as far as I know are closed.
