Shorewalkers promotes walking and hiking for fitness, recreation & fun. We support and advocate environmental and civic causes including development of our greenways, maintenance and improvement of trails, and the health benefits of walking.

Our paid annual membership exceeds 1,200 and not all our members use Meetup. Therefore, participation in Shorewalkers' events is often higher than reflected on Meetup. Questions about hikes should be directed to the Leader in the hike description not to the Meetup Organizers.  You will receive emails when a walk is announced and one week and one day before the walk, manage these settings under the Account link.

Voluntary membership fees: $20/individual and $25/family. Activities are free to members. Nonmembers are welcome to participate for a voluntary donation per event.

Shorewalkers does not tolerate inappropriate behavior during its events. If you are subject to or witness any inappropriate behavior during a Shorewalker event, please contact  the Shorewalker Meetup Organizers directly and report the behavior. Shorewalkers will investigate any reports of inappropriate behavior and take necessary action.
Your participation in any of our activities is your acknowledgment that you are solely responsible for your own assessment of your abilities and your physical fitness to participate in that activity. Walkers must be physically fit and by joining any event you agree to waive all rights and claims for damages against Shorewalkers, it’s officers, or it’s Leaders.We welcome posting of pictures taken during Shorewalkers events subject to this statement:"Uploaders of photos certify that the photos belong to the Uploader, and permission is given without reservation by the Uploader to Shorewalkers to use the photos in any manner and for any reason, except for commercial purposes, without renumeration or credit to the poster."
