Shoujo Club of Austin is a specific collective of anime and manga fans who are inclined towards the shoujo/josei persuasion.

What is shoujo? Literally, shoujo (少女) means 'young/little girl'. As a genre, shoujo is any form of media marketed to a female audience roughly between the ages of 10 and 18.

This meetup group is for fans of this genre, and for the more mature josei (女性) titles as well, which is aimed more towards ladies and college-aged women. The aims for this meetup group is primarily to bring together fans of these titles of fans of those who have a more discerning taste when it comes to the anime and manga they enjoy.
