Reviving the Sunday Red Rock sessions

Just got back in town. Is there a reason there haven't been any sessions in Red Rock Cafe on Castro St lately? Please let me know. Otherwise, my friend and I will be there!

Thank you Sonica. I have added a little more info for newcomers.

Directions: From El Camino Real turn onto Castro St. toward downtown. From 101 take the Moffett Blvd exit and go toward downtown (Moffett becomes Castro). The Red Rock is on the corner of Castro and Villa. Parking can be challenging, but there are several lots behind the Castro businesses. Turn on Villa or Dana to access them. Enter the lots from either Hope or Bryant Streets (they run parallel to Castro).

This awesome coffee shop is near the end of Castro in downtown Mountain View, a block down from Books Inc. It has a cool bar and interior, (that incidentally was just redone) with photos and art that change periodically and a comfy upstairs. The coffee is good and they also have really good food and sweets that change. The baristas are really nice and the only ones who rival their latte art are the ones at Bitter + Sweet in Cupertino.

The basic schedule will be for introductions and arrivals to happen between 1:30 and 1:45 pm. At 1:45 we start writing for at least an hour. You can stay longer if you want.

We generally meet upstairs on the second floor because it's so hard to guarantee seating at the single tables downstairs. Look for the sign(s).

Great to meet some new folks. Would've loved to all be able to sit together. Will keep coming to get to know everyone.

Sonica, Emily, who was the organizer for these meetups, moved to Rhode Island. Unfortunately despite our efforts we were unable to find a replacement organizer(s). You have already done more work than organizing the event requires, but there is one more thing. Please print out a couple table top signs so members can find your group. The sign is under the More menu on our web page. I have made you the official host for this week's meetup. All you have to do is arrive a few minutes early, find a table and display the sign. Thank you.

Wow. I like the Red Rock Coffee House. It's close by.
I'm busy this weekend, but I can make it after that.
Hope to see you on the 27th.

Woohoo! I've been wondering why these were gone. It'll be my first time meeting with writers in the Bay Area.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
