Full Moon Paddle at Fulton Landing Boat Ramp

Sat 5/25, 8:00pm, Full Moon Paddle at Fulton Landing Boat Ramp: We will meet at the boat ramp at 8:00 pm.   The moon is expected to be full on this night.  Fulton Landing Boat Ramp is a small underdeveloped boat ramp at the end of Fulton road in the Arlington area.  Address of ramp is 5099 Fulton Road, Jacksonville, FL  32225.  As there is limited parking, car pooling is advised.  Trip is limited to 15 and to SIDETRACKERS MEMBERS first.  If space allows, non-members may get on the waiting list.

We will be on the St. Johns River and the paddle should be fairly easy.  If you do not have your own kayak or canoe, you will be responsible for getting one.   As this is an evening paddle, you will need to rent something and probably keep it overnight.   Several of the surf shops such as Aqua East rents kayaks.  Aqua East surf Shop has 24 hour rentals available for only $35.  You can keep it all weekend, but you must pick it up and return it.  They only have 5 boats available, so you need to call ASAP to reserve your boat:[masked] (ask for Jim).  Aqua East is close to the Fulton Boat Ramp.  Several Sidetrackers members have extra kayaks/canoes and may be willing to share.  Can’t hurt to ask! Afterwards we will get together at a local establishment for pool and darts!

Leader Julie Hayes, cell[masked]-1548.  As a courtesy, please call Julie if your plans change and you are unable to attend.

Sidetrackers, Outdoor Club for Northeast Florida Singles, usesMeetup.com/Sidetrackers” as a tool for providing information for our events.  Sidetrackers Club Members (those who have signed the annual release and paid the $[masked] dues) are covered by our supplemental insurance policy.  All non-members must sign a guest waiver/release form for each event. Please print, fill out, sign and bring a guest waiver form with you.

OK folks make sure you have lights for your kayak as well as you're' life vest / headlamps are great and you're' shopping for one make sure it's' strong enough ,go by how many lumens ( 50) or more is a good bottom end light. Also disposable glow sticks will work for your kayak.
