Sierra Club - Capital Group

The Sierra Club is America's oldest, largest, and most influential grassroots environmental organization. Inspired by nature, we are 1.3 million of your friends and neighbors, working together to protect our communities and the planet.

The Capital Group Sierra Club focuses on exploring, enjoying and protecting our local region. We invite you to join us at one of our interesting monthly meetings featuring prominent "green" speakers, for an outing or at a conservation or political meeting or event.

We believe in partnering with like-minded organizations – and so please feel free to co-list our events. (Please include any event requests & guidelines.)

Although the Sierra Club has been around since 1892, and in NC for 40 years – the Capital Group is new to Meet-up. We are excited that Meet-up may help make our activities easier to find and join. Whether you wish to join us for a one time event or get more involved, we welcome you. If there is an activity you'd like to add, or if you have talents you'd be willing to share – please contact the leaders. We welcome participation!

The Sierra Club has a national, state, and local presence – so there are many opportunities to have fun, learn and do good in the world and for the planet. Not all can be posted on Meet-up.

One of the Sierra Club's abiding missions is to engage the public. Sierra Club membership is not required or expected to join this Meet-up group or to join our posted activities.
