Every Thursday night for "Science Thursday," the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh will focus on a different Earth Day-related topic as part of its new Earth Month celebration. All Earth Month nights will take place from 5pm to 9pm on their respective nights, and are intended to run in conjunction with related talks and classes. All nights are planned as indoor activities and are free of charge. The theme for April 24th will be "Biodiversity & Conservation" (i.e. biodiversity in various parts of the world, and what we can do to help conserve this biodiversity in the future).
The Capital Group of the Sierra Club will have a display at the museum; we would love for you to come out to support us, and, if at all possible, volunteer! We need 3-4 people for each of our two shifts; these will run from 5 pm to 7 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm, respectively, along with accompanying setup and take-down.
